The guys who created UNIX must think they’re pretty clever
While going through the available commands in Mac OS X 10.4, I found some interesting ones…
amaze – wander around in a maze
bison – GNU Project parser generator (a replacement for yacc)
lipo – create or operate on ‘fat’ files
yes – (be a yes man…) repetitively output ‘y’ (or an expletive of your choice) for all eternity
wall – send messages to all users (by writing ‘on’ the wall)

The guys who created Unix *are* pretty clever. Smart people like word play (and build OSes!). Even the name Unix is a pun on an OS that was seen as pretty bad at the time (Multics).
GNU’s Not Unix
LAME Ain’t an MP3 Encoder
WINE Is Not an Emulator

Wow – pretty snazzy commands. I thought I’ve had some “clever” conversations before, but nothing that rivals getting that kind of stuff.

I normally don’t do this but whoever posted that first comment should really sign their name. Especially with a post like that.
Just a courtesy thing.
Also. . . “ain’t” is not a word

My Required Name: Not to be antagonistic, but do I know you? You would appear to hail from The Netherlands, and I know of only one acquaintance who is even close by.
Did you come across this site from one of the other sites “affiliated” with ping-o-matic?
Finally, just as a matter of personal taste, I don’t find recursive acronyms to be nearly as clever as some of the wonderful entries I’ve found in the *NIX manpages over the years.
Cheers,
