…into the dark…
…You and me have seen everything to see
From Bangkok to Calgary
And the soles of your shoes
are all worn down
The time for sleep is now
It’s nothing to cry about
Cause we’ll hold each other soon…— I Will Follow You Into The Dark / Death Cab For Cutie

It’s no What Sarah Said in terms of classic DCFC make you hold your pillow tight lyrical fusions of sheer emo story song that make you cry and hit the repeat button at least three times bliss, but yes, I’d have to say, that song ’tis the best on the album. I’d play that bad boy at my funeral. Or wedding. Whichever comes first. Hopefully funeral. Well played Woodrow.

I’ll have to second that, JonnyS. Although for me, it’s a toss up between “…Into the Dark” and “Brothers on a Hotel Bed”. The piano introduction and throughout in BoaHB is so simple, striking and beautiful. It’s the kind of song that you would like to adapt and work into the soundtrack of your life (at times)…
