At the end of grade 12, I would have laughed at the thought of myself graduating with a bachelor of commerce degree. Low and behold, here I am today. I also never would have thought that I'd be continuing to work for Loblaws. However, they offered me a contractual position that was difficult to refuse. Everything seems to have fallen into place quite nicely. It sounds as though you made all of the right decisions from the start, and had an extremely fulfilling experience. I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to you, on all of your achievements thus far. I can certainly identify with you in this respect. As for what I was considering, before Grade 11/12 AP Physics I was thinking that I would pursue graphic design in some form or another, but I hadn't really looked into it all that much. Once I got into Physics, my excellent teacher opened my eyes to looking at the world in an analytical fashion, and got me hooked on problem-solving. I figured that because I was able to do well at math, physics, chem, compsci, etc., I may as well give something like engineering a shot, and return to considering graphic design if it didn't work out This led me to another fork in the road: physics vs. engineering. I ultimately chose engineering because I wanted something a little more practical and useful right after the B.Sc. than Physics. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my decision, though I'm still thinking I should've done EE instead of Comp.E. Hey Lindsay, I’m impressed that you still read this when I update it so infrequently.
